WHAT IS THE PRIDE OF THE CARIBBEAN SCHOLARSHIP?

Pride of the Caribbean is a program supported by The Western Union Company and The Western Union Foundation respectively, designed to support the academic ambitions of collegiate and college bound U.S. students from the Caribbean community.

The 2016 scholarship, Pride of the Caribbean Scholarships Program (as part of Pride of the Caribbean) is executed in conjunction with participating Western Union® Agents in the Caribbean, Pay-O-Matic in the New York area and the Western Union Foundation.

The 2016 Pride of the Caribbean Scholarships are eligible to applicants residing in the U.S. with origins from select countries in the Caribbean (see eligibility requirements below) that have been accepted into an accredited U.S. university. Three (3) students will receive $12,500 each and five (5) students will receive $4,500 each toward their education (tuition) at such an accredited university.

Pride of the Caribbean scholarships may be used for undergraduate degrees only (and not for advanced degrees such as Masters or PhD). All scholarship awards will be paid directly to the accredited higher-education institutions and training/educational providers.

We are happy to extend the Pride of the Caribbean Scholarship program to students from nineteen (19) countries.
